Reinforcing Effect of Terrorism and Corruption Nexus on Net Migration from Developing Countries: An Empirical Analysis

Abstract The study intends to investigate the direct and indirect effect of terrorism corruption on net migration for thirty-eight developing countries, along with other macroeconomic determinants like per capita GDP, globalization, inflation institutional quality time period 1985-2015. Based Fixed Random Effects models, findings show that GDP has negative while globalization positively significant in selected countries. appeared reinforcing each stimulating migration. Particularly, seeks its ways through corrupt financial activities which distorts labor market ultimately results relatively large out-migration. suggests implementation stiff anti-terrorism policies improve domestic environment promoting such a way can offer positive out-migration economy long run. And is expected take place at onset return enhanced skills capabilities.
